I'm afraid many people might have overlooked what a great story this has been (especially for Uncanny X-Force fans) over the last few issues because of Land's art dragging this book down like a boat anchor.
A cool new Savage Land in the US was established here, some neat new characters were introduced, and Namor sexed up an alien...but people may have ignored all of that awesomeness because of how craptastic Greg Land's art is.
I still recommend picking up issue #8 though because of the establishing of Namor's relationship with Hope. Gillen has provided readers with some amazing dialogue since the relaunch of this book in November, and he continues to hit it out of the park here with Hope and Namor.
Please, look past the art and you'll most likely find that this is quite an enjoyable book. At least this was the last issue of the current arc, so Land's tenure here is over, for now...
