For long-time Wonder Woman traditionalists, Azzarello and Chiang's run has been pretty tumultuous so far, but this issue is a doosy.
The thing(s) revealed in this issue change as much about the core of the Wonder Woman character as anything introduced in this run so far, in my opinion. I can see where a lot of die-hards are probably going to hate this, but I've been very happy with the New52 Wonder Woman so far, and this issue isn't changing that.
It's great to see Cliff Chiang back on the book after a fill-in artist last issue, and he doesn't misss a beat. This book is gorgeous, intelligent and wonderfully written. If you're a Wonder Woman fan, congratulations, we're experiencing the best run since Gail Simone and Terry Dodson way back, what was that, 5 or 6 years ago? If you're not, start reading this now, it'll be a nice addition to your monthly reading.
