The Titans are back! (And at $2.99 I might add). I had previously only read the Titans in the ‘Death of The Family’ story arc- so I really didn’t have much to look for. But I found it.
Firstly, Pfeifer (the writer), Rocafort (the artist), and Brown (the colorist) make a phenomenal creative team. The colors go so well with Rocafort’s style. And Rocafort’s art really brings this amazing script to life.
Secondly, the characters are awesome. The Titans really blend well together, and really define what a team is. This issue had them working together in a very unique way.
Thirdly, I hope that this issue sets the tone for the issues to come. We get an idea of what the villain is after. And so far, all I have gathered about her is that she isn’t a fan of S.T.A.R. LABS. We see that it will be her main target and the LAB knows about it. So now their plan to continue to make their operations on Governor’s Island stronger is their first priority. And the villain knows that.
All in all this was a solid issue. These teens know that they’re awesome and that they can face any challenge that comes their way. If you enjoy great dialogue, some actual “laugh out loud” moments and great artwork, pick this up as soon as you can. And if you enjoy YouTube, there is a big comic book community on there. I personally make videos with my channel Speaks. You’ll find all sorts of cool people are a part of it. Thank you for reading my first review and take care.
